Software Usability Issues Part 1

Software Usability Issues Part 1
- AT&T Global Network Client
AT&T Global Network Client has great features, except one thing I dislike.
Like many other tools, we can save the account's password by selecting 'Save password' check box. But after I choose to save password, every time I start the program, the input focus is still the password text control.

Generally, I start the application, and wait a few seconds for the program main window to appear, then click on the connect button, or press enter button to connect to the company VPN. But in some cases, after I start the program, I don't want to wait, just continue to do my stuff, such as surfing on the Internet. Then when the application prompts to front, whatever I type would go into the password text control.

This also happen when the VPN  connection is disconnected, at that time, the application main window would be prompted out, and the password field would be focuesd. whatever I type would go into the password field.

This is really bad, because I always can't memorize my password - I think many people have this issue too.

The only way to recover my password is to call operator of IT department to reset it.
But I use this application at off-duty time, so I have to wait till tomorrow, and my work has to be delayed.

I think the solution should be that if user chooses to save password, then the input focus should not be in password text control. This can avoid people type text into password field incautiously.
