Function keys in Chromebook
- Search + 1 to Search + = for F1 to F12.
Insert key in Chromebook
- simulate an Insert key or enter overwrite mode by pressing the Search key and the period key at the same time
- Alt+Inert in Chromebook: press Search + period + Alt.
Enable “tap to click” to make TouchPad less noisy
- At settings -> TouchPad -> enable “tap to click” and the touchpad will not need to be pushed down - a gentle touch will do it.
Switch between multiple accounts without logging out
- Add the second user at the login screen
- Sign in your primary account first
- at the bottom right, select the time, select your account then select “Sign in another user”
- Now use “Ctrl+ALt+, or .” to switch between these accounts
Add another keyboard languages
- At the bottom right, select the time.
- Select Settings Settings and then Advanced.
- In the “Languages and input” section, select Input method and then Manage input methods
- Use “Ctrl+Shift+Space” to switch keyboard language
Reset Frozen Chromebook
- Press Refresh and Power simultaneously to force a restart.
