Different notification settings for each contact or group
In the conversation with the contact or group, click the Details on the right of the action title bar, click Notifications, we can choose to turn off/on notification, override Don’t disturb, choose whether show all notification content on lock screen or choose to Pop on screen.
Find out when a text message was sent or received
Android messenger groups messages into threads, and show the start time of a thread at the beginning of each thread.
We can also tap a message to show the precis time it was sent or recieved.
Report as spam and block the contact
We got spam messages everyday. Luckily its easy to report and block them in Android Messages.
Just tap and hold the conversation, click the report as spam icon on the right of the action title bar.
Google is also good at identifying potential spammer. For suspected spam message, Android messages also shows a warning at the top of the conversation and click the icon there would also report it as spam and block it.
Remind me the message later
Sometimes, we need take action about the message and would like to to get reminder later.
We can tap and hold one conversation or one message, we can see the reminder icon on the right of the action title bar. We can set a reminder in one hour, tomorrow or pick a date and time.
Emergency alert history
At the messenger, go to Settings -> Advanced -> Wireless emergency history.
